The New Air Max 95 Surfaces With Total 90–Inspired Design Cues In Metallic Silver & Black
Nike is reworking the Air Max 95 with a set of design updates that strongly echo the brand’s early 2000’s football era, specifically drawing visual comparisons to the Total 90 Scorpion aesthetic. The latest Metallic Silver and Black colorways introduce a redesigned tongue logo, replacing traditional branding with a “95” set inside a circle, closely resembling the iconic Total 90 logo. This same 95 logo also appears on the medial side of the shoe toward the heel.
Further updates include a modified heel tab where the Air Max branding now runs vertically and is debossed directly into the heel, while “AM95” branding is visible on the lateral rear air unit. Both pairs feature blacked out Air units and are constructed using a mix of synthetic leather and patent leather.
The Metallic Silver pair stands out as a particularly close comparison to Nike’s classic Scorpion and Total 90 designs from the early 2000’s, featuring an all silver upper accented by black Swoosh and Nike branding. In contrast, the Black pair opts for a stealthier approach, finished in all black with gold branding and detailing.
Men’s sizing is expected to follow, and more information will be shared as we get closer to the release. For now, take a closer look at the official images below.
